You’re in Unity 5 and you have an UI panel element, like my scores element in the video, and it’s got a big red cross through it! So you’re thinking ‘what’s that all about’ right?
Maybe you try going into 3D mode and using flythrough (which you can do by holding down the right mouse button and using the WSAD keys) but you see it’s still got a red cross from the back.
Strange huh. So what’s that all about?
Here’s how to remove a red cross on UI panel in Unity 3D –
Don’t panic - most likely the panel has just become inverted.
All you need to do is click on it, making sure you have the right panel selected (which is scores in my case) and drag the corner transform tools until suddenly it appears and shows its background image.
If it’s not inverted then it’s possibly because it’s too small and the elements inside are too big, but generally your problem is going to be that it’s inverted so just flip it over. Job done!
Did you spot my speedy top change at the end of the video, nearly seamless huh ;)
