I’m originally a mobile developer (iOS specifically), with around 5 years of experience.
• Why did you take the course?
I had so many game ideas and always wanted to implement them, and at some point I decided to start working on of my ideas, so I searched among game engines and found that Unity suited my needs best. So I started looking for courses to learn it, and Ben's Complete Unity Developer Course seemed much better than the other courses on Udemy, and it really didn’t disappoint.
• What was your biggest concern?
I didn’t want to take a course that would explain the concepts in a theoretical way, or the opposite, like teaching you how to make only a few games only, I needed a mix of those two.
This course provided me with that, it explains the concepts and then shows you how to implement them in a fun way by creating a game.
• How have you found the experience?
It was wonderful, Ben's Complete Unity Developer Course is very well organised and takes you step by step, I actually stopped after taking the 2D part of the course to make my first game then continued on with the 3D part. Also the discussions are very helpful and the instructors English is very clear and understandable, and all the videos are presented in a great way.
• What have you achieved.
I was able to complete my first mobile game in a few weeks and released it on both iOS (here) and Android (here), currently working on the game marketing to try and get it to reach more audience.
I have many more game ideas and I intend to start working on them very soon.
We'd love to hear what you think of the game in the comments below, and let us know what you're up to in your game development journey :)
